ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific-based treatment that focuses on improving socially significant behaviors of the individual.

ABA utilizes reinforcement strategies to increase appropriate behaviors while decreasing inappropriate behaviors, or behaviors that interfere with a child’s learning. ABA provides a systematic and structured approach to teaching individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. ABA can be used to increase language production and communication skills, and improve attention, social skills, daily living skills, and academics.

ABA is effective for children and adults with autism and can be used in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, clinics, workplaces, and community locations. It has also been demonstrated that consistent ABA therapy can increase an individual’s level of independence and future need for specialized services
